Dr. Feldmeier has also received the 2022 Global Learning Faculty Award from the Alamo Colleges District, San Antonio, Texas, for her teaching at St. Philip’s College. This is a District-wide distinction awarded by the Chancellor for distinguished service to her students by the internationalization of her course materials.

The Philosophy Club
Dr. Feldmeier co-founded the Philosophy Club at St. Philip's College in the fall of 2013, and has long been a Faculty Advisor and strong supporter of the extracurricular student organization.
The first public Philosophy lecture attended by the Philosophy Club was the October 16, 2013 address by renown philosopher, Dr. Derek Parfit, presented the Trinity University DeCoursey Lecture for the 2013-2014 academic year. In his public talk, “We Are Not Human Beings,” Dr. Parfit explored problems of personal identity, rationality and ethics and the relations between them.

Over the years, the Philosophy Club has sponsored a number of activities & conversations at meetings and social gatherings with a wide variety of guests.

The Tiger PAWS Literary Art Journal
Dr. Feldmeier is a long-time faculty member of the College Committee for Tiger PAWS.
Tiger PAWS (Personal Academic Writing Space) showcases student work consisting of writing in English and Spanish and artwork published in print and online forms at the end of the fall and spring semesters. SPC students are encouraged to submit their writing and artwork for publication consideration. Categories include:
Short Fiction (1,000-word limit)
Non-fiction (essays, journals, etc. 1,000-word limit)
Literary Criticism Essays (1200-word limit)
Poetry
Photography
Fine Art (drawings, paintings, sculptures, collages, etc.)

Dr. Feldmeier is a long-time faculty co-director of the S.T.R.E.A.M. Lecture and Performing Arts Series, which brings creative minds and performers to campus to enrich our academic community.
